Welcome to the distance training platform for this course on international labour standards reporting!

This course is organized and run by the International Training Centre of the ILO (ITCILO) located in Turin, Italy, in collaboration with the International Labour Standards Department (NORMES) of the ILO.

The course aims to strengthen national capacity to discharge the reporting obligations on international labour standards under the ILO Constitution. It is thus offered primarily to government officials who are responsible for reporting on the implementation of ratified ILO Conventions. Representatives of employers' and workers' organization who have responsibilities for monitoring reporting activities are also welcome to participate.

The course runs at a distance, via the Internet, during a period of 8 weeks. Participation in the course requires approximately 5 hours each week, which must be set aside as a part of normal work time, and includes a major written assignment consisting in the preparation of a detailed report on the application of a ratified ILO Convention. Course materials include written texts as well as multi-media elements and quizzes. A tutor will follow participants' progress through the course, with the support of experts from the ILO and trainers from the ITCILO.

The next edition of the course will be run from 16 March to 8 May 2015. To download the course description, with information on how to apply, please click here. The deadline for submission of candidatures is 8 March 2015.
